Surreal: former Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad has a
blog. A
Blogspot blog. With perhaps the most kick-ass Blogger profile ever. Hat tip Josh Trevino, from his new blog,
Malaysia Matters (warning! conservative site).
PH contributing author Dave Praeger writes from his sabbatical in rural India (!) to ask your help with a fundraiser he's put together. He's trying to build toilets for an impoverished girls' school. Check it out
here.
Congratulations to Ralph Brauer, whose two-part series on Bill Clinton's Second Inaugural Address made this month's
History Carnival. It's the second straight win for Ralph.
Finally, I've not had time to mention this, but I'm hosting the upcoming History Carnival right here at ProgressiveHistorians at the end of this month. Make sure to send me the best historically-oriented blog posts from this month, either via e-mail or through
the form.
What's on your mind?

What's on my mind is that I thought the end of finals would bring a respite. Yikes! Now it's time to get caught up on everything that fell by the wayside.

In the same boat there, friend -- end of finals is bringing summer jobs, article submissions, and a lingering case of pinkeye that just won't go away...

When's moving day?
Too soon to think about getting any serious work done before it. Soon enough that I could actually be reasonably settled in and functional before the fall semester.
But there's a lot of stuff that's got to get done, physical and fiscal. Oh, and I have to grade finals.

Well -- it's a site run by a conservative, sure. (Me!) But it's not a "conservative site." In fact, it's really quite apolitical with regard to US domestic politics.
Thanks for the link!
Moving is on my mind. Everything else is a distraction, including finals grading.
